Miami Beach Engagement Session at Golden Hour
Some sessions just have everything. As a Miami Beach engagement photographer, I can tell you this one had it all. Golden hour on Ocean Drive, a hidden bar on Española Way, stunning Art Deco architecture, and two people from Chicago who made Miami their own. In short, it was magic.
Starting at Tropezón
We kicked off Eileen and David’s engagement session at Tropezón. It’s a charming hidden bar tucked away on Española Way, and it was the perfect starting point. The warm, moody interior gave us gorgeous light. As a result, it set the tone for the whole evening beautifully. Drinks in hand, they were completely at ease with each other. It felt less like a photoshoot and more like a date I just happened to tag along on.
A Miami Milestone
Eileen has been completing her medical degree at the University of Miami. Because of that, this session felt like a double celebration. She is about to become a doctor AND a bride. David has been by her side through all of it. That kind of love, the kind that shows up through long nights and hard seasons, photographs beautifully.
Ocean Drive at Golden Hour
After El Tropezon we wandered over to Ocean Drive as the sun started to dip and Miami did what Miami does best. The Art Deco buildings, the Beach Patrol Headquarters, the warm golden light bouncing off every pastel surface – it was perfect. Eileen wore a stunning white strapless maxi dress and David kept it cool in a tan blazer with light blue trousers, and together they just looked like they belonged exactly there.
Chicago Roots, Miami Magic
There is something so special about photographing people who have built a life somewhere new. Eileen and David brought their Chicago roots to the streets of South Beach and the city gave them the most beautiful evening in return. As a Miami Beach engagement photographer I live for sessions like this one, where the location feels alive and the couple feels completely themselves.
