There’s something about a New York City engagement session that makes love feel cinematic. Every corner holds a story waiting to unfold, and Laritza and Alex are exactly that kind of story. A Miami girl and a New York boy, blending two worlds effortlessly. Because of that, stepping into their session felt like walking into something that already existed long before the photos.
We started the afternoon wandering through The Metropolitan Museum of Art. The quiet, romantic energy of the space set the tone beautifully. It was slow, intentional, and intimate. As a result, it gave them space to just be together without any pressure.
After a quick outfit change, we stepped back out into the rhythm of the city and made our way through the Upper East Side. The contrast was everything. We went from soft museum light to that unmistakable New York movement. We laughed, wandered, and didn’t overthink a single moment. It felt like them.
And because no New York love story is complete without a little spontaneity, we wrapped the day at Don Filippo Restaurant, which is now permanently closed, so I am so grateful we were able to get these shots there. We shared a pie, sat close, and soaked in the kind of simplicity that makes everything feel real.
That’s always my goal. Not to create moments, but to step into the ones that already exist. Laritza and Alex didn’t need direction. They simply needed space to be exactly who they are together. And New York showed up for them in the best way.
